In Tampa Bay, many young adults aging out of foster care and families in crisis face serious challenges simply because they don’t have dependable transportation. Without a car, it’s hard to maintain steady employment, get to school, attend medical appointments, or even shop for groceries. Public transportation often doesn’t reach where they live or work, and rideshares aren’t always affordable.
That’s why Pass It Forward exists. When you donate your car, truck, SUV, or even RV, we send it to our trusted partner, R.I. Automotive. Their expert team, alongside dedicated volunteers, inspects and repairs each vehicle to make sure it’s safe, reliable, and ready for the road.
Your donation is also tax-deductible through our 501(c)(3) status, and we provide all the documentation you need for your records. Most importantly, your gift stays in Tampa Bay, creating immediate, meaningful change. Donating your car is simple, and we handle most of the details for you. First, complete our online donation form above with basic information about your vehicle. We accept all makes and models, even those that aren’t running. Next, we arrange a free pickup at a time that works for you. Once we receive the car, our partner, R.I. Automotive, inspects and repairs it to ensure it’s safe and dependable. Finally, we match the vehicle with a foster youth or family in need, and you receive the proper tax deduction paperwork.
